Poster: 'Short Rotation Coppice (SRC) in the Netherlands'

27 August 2013

Probos, together with Staatsbosbeheer and Shell, has realised a total of 45 hectares of energy plantations in the context of the Flevo Energy Wood Project between the cities of Lelystad and Almere. These are a type of modern osieries that are harvested approximately every two to three years. In recent years, both biomass production and biodiversity have been studied on the plantations. At the International Energy Farming Congress, held from 10 to 12 March 2009 in Papenburg (Germany), Probos presented a poster with the most important results of the Flevo Energie Hout project.
